# Fluensy

> Fluensy is a macOS desktop app for professional language coaching. It silently listens during your real meetings, analyzes your speech for errors in pronunciation, grammar, and style, and delivers personalized feedback and audio lessons so non-native speakers can close the language gap that limits their career advancement.

## Product

Fluensy targets professionals who are non-native speakers of English, Spanish, German, or Portuguese — people stuck on a language plateau who no longer receive corrections but whose accent or phrasing may be holding back their career. The app runs locally on Mac (no bots join your calls, no audio stored permanently), detects error patterns across meetings, groups them by type, and generates concrete study materials from your own mistakes.

**Core workflow:**

1. **Silent, local listening** — Fluensy runs on your Mac in the background. It is invisible to meeting participants and does not join calls as a bot.
2. **Detailed session report** — After each session you get a multi-tab report with a CEFR overall score plus sub-scores for Speaking, Grammar, Fluency, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, and Syntax. A skill breakdown shows percentage scores with color-coded bars for each area.
3. **Deep insights by area** — The Summary tab surfaces "Your Superpowers" (things you do well) alongside per-area insights covering Fluency, Grammar, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Accent, and Eloquence. Each area shows Strengths, Actions to Improve, and quantitative metrics like Words Per Minute and Filler word percentage.
4. **Findings tab** — Highlights "Quick wins" (prioritized issues with impact ratings: Low / Medium / High) and a Corrections section grouped by Grammar, Vocabulary, and Pronunciation. Every correction includes real examples from your recording ("YOU SAID") paired with the correct form ("TRY SAYING"), playable audio clips so you can hear both versions.
5. **Studio tab** — Generate custom audio lessons from your session's findings. Controls include: language mix slider (e.g. 0% English → 100% target language), tone selector (Instructional, Constructive, Demanding, Motivational, Roast), duration, and free-text extra instructions (e.g. "use vocabulary from my profession"). Lessons are saved and playable any time.

**Supported coaching languages:** English, Spanish, German, Portuguese.

## Privacy

- Audio is deleted from the cloud within 48 hours and remains only on your device after that.
- Your data is never used to train AI models.
- No external bots join your meetings — everything runs as a desktop app.

## Free Language Test

Fluensy offers a free in-browser CEFR level test at `/language-test`. Users record a short speech sample; Gemini AI analyzes it and returns a CEFR score (A1–C2) indicating their current language proficiency level.
